At long last…
20 Nov
Hello hello.
So I don’t really know how to say this, but the movie is *done*.
Crazy, right?
It’s looking good… I think it’s *good*. I think we set out to do what we hoped to do. And now we see what everyone *else* thinks…
We should hear from Sundance in a few weeks. It’s almost impossible to get in, so I’m operating on the assumption that it just won’t happen. But I think we have a good film. And maybe even a good Sundance film, so maybe we’ll be lucky. One never knows.
Besides Sundance we’re sending it out to sales agents in the hopes one will represent us. For some folks a big ? mark might have just popped up. Sales agents are people who sell independent films. Usually lawyers or someone with a legal background. They know the fests. They know the distributors. Most films that get sold get sold through them. Most of the films at the big fests are repped by them. So in a lot of ways, submitting to them is as important/more important than submitting to the fests…
So that’s where we are. Time to play the waiting game. We wait to see what fest we get in and if someone will buy our wonderful little film and put it out in the world. And you good people wait to see the movie. Let’s hope, for all of our sakes, the wait is not too long
I’m working with Gary Irwin on some EPK/behind-the-scenes stuff… hope to share something with you before too long.

I am looking forward to our radio interview the last week of January on our program- “Learning and Laughter with Louise”. I hope that we can help you generate additional buzz!
Best wishes!
Hi Ben,
This is Andrea Johnson (now Gillhoolley) from the Lebanon Daily News. II interviewed you last September and I see that you’re movie is “done.” I was wondering if you’d like to do another article and if so, when might be a good time? I wasn’t sure if you wanted to wait until you see if the movie’s been accepted or not into Sundance, or if you’d prefer to wait until it’s distributed.. I wasn’t sure which part of the process you’re at.
Thanks and congratulations!
Andrea
